A collection of web apps and interfaces designed and implemented by Julian over a period of several years.
Redbutton, a startup creating disaster response software, was a single page, IE6 compliant web application. Built primarily with Knockout.js, it included many custom components such as event delegation, runtime type checking and real time updates via polling. It was deployed and used in real disaster scenarios, notably by Rio Tinto during the Ebola Crisis.
Centers is a web based tool for exploring map projections, enabling users to reposition the globe before the projections are applied, such as setting the location to place one's self at the center of the map. The resulting visuals aim to challenge existing assumptions around two dimensional representations of the globe.
